More than 12,000 tons of hand-woven carpets and handicrafts worth around $258 million were exported from Iran during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Dec. 21).
They registered a 55% rise in weight and a 22% fall in value compared with the similar period of last year, latest figures released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.
In the last Iranian year (March 2017-18), a total of 12,000 tons of hand-woven carpets and handicrafts worth $463 million were exported from Iran, IRNA reported.
