Close to 485,000 tons of commodities worth more than $26.18 million have been exported from Amirabad Port Customs Office in the northern Mazandaran Province to Caspian Sea littoral states since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2018), to register a 42% and 43% rise in weight and value respectively compared with the similar period of last year.
According to Director General of Amirabad Port Customs Office Amir Jamshidi, the exported commodities mainly included cement, construction material and ceramics.
More than 2.51 million tons of goods worth around $713 million were imported into Iran through the port over the same period, registering a 27% growth in terms of both volume and value year-on-year.
