A total of 95,617 tons of seafood worth $290 million tons were exported from Iran during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Dec. 21) to register a 15% and 9% growth in weight and value respectively compared with the corresponding period of last year.
“Close to 21,227 tons of the total tonnage pertained to shrimp exports worth over $102 million, registering a 39% and 42% rise in volume and value respectively year-on-year,” Director General of Iran Fisheries Organization's Seafood Quality Improvement, Processing and Marketing Promotion Department Isa Golshahi told Financial Tribune.
