East Azarbaijan Province exported 1.6 million tons of commodities worth $1.19 billion in the first nine months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Dec. 21), registering a 40% and 33% growth in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period.
According to Leili Orangi, an official with East Azarbaijan Customs Offices, the exported commodities from the northeastern Iranian province included plastic products, steel, fruit, grains, milk, confectionery and glassware.
