The import ban on secondhand and repaired products has been lifted, provided they are approved by the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran.
The measure, which came into effect as of Dec. 24, followed a letter sent by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s Imports and Free Trade and Special Economic Zones Affairs Bureau, requiring the ban to be lifted, Mehr News Agency reported.
The ministry had banned the imports of secondhand and repaired products in October 2016.
