Iran Agrifood Exports Up 7.9%, Imports Fall 4.5 Percent

Iran exported 4.58 million tons of agricultural and food products worth $4.57 billion during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Nov. 21) to register a 7.9% growth in value compared with last year's corresponding period.
The growth is an all-time high, according to the latest report released by the National Agriculture and Water Strategic Research Center, which draws on data provided by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
Agrifood exports accounted for 6.1% and 14.5% of the total volume and value of Iran's non-oil exports of 75.27 million tons worth $31.49 billion respectively over the period,
