About $300 million worth of commodities were exported from Iran's northern Mazandaran Province during the first eight months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Nov. 21), registering a 10% increase compared with last year’s corresponding period.
Abdollah Mohajer-Darabi, the head of Sari (capital of Mazandaran) Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, said the exported commodities mainly included 2.5 million tons of citrus fruits, Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture's news service reported.
Mazandaran meets nearly 50% of domestic demand for citrus fruit.
