Tehran to Host European Experts in Logistics Forum

The Logistics and Inter-Modal Transportation Educational Forum is scheduled to be held in Tehran on November 12-13.
Sixteen experts from the European Union will take part in the event, an official with the Ports and Maritime Organization said.
“At present, the concepts of logistics, inter-modal transportation and value-added services in the field are defined and interpreted in various ways by PMO and by each of the Iranian ports. Through this forum, we want to arrive at a unified understanding and interpretation, and use a common terminology shared by all bodies involved. We are seeking the assistance of Europeans in this regard,” Mohammad Ali Asl-Saeedipour was also quoted as saying by the news portal of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
"We want to see what the full potential of our ports are and how European experts can help us make better use of our logistics and multi-modal transportation capacities."
Asl-Saeedipour said meetings will be held on the sidelines of the two-day event for Iranian’s active in the sector and their European counterparts to share their experiences about logistics, ports, environmental issues and customs procedures.
