A total of 120,406 public complaints against goods and service providers were filed with the industries, mining and trade organizations of Iranian provinces in the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Sept. 22).
According to Gholamreza Saremiyan, an official with the Consumer and Producer Protection Organization, bread, fruits and vegetables topped the list of goods people complained about.
Restaurants and auto repair shops were among service centers accounting for a majority of complaints over the period.
"Most complaints pertained to price hike," he added.
