A modified version of the comprehensive productivity plan has been approved after being discussed in a five-hour meeting attended by representatives from executive organizations, IRNA reported on Wednesday.
The 28 articles of the comprehensive plan, which was prepared by the National Iranian Productivity Organization (NIPO), was discussed, modified, and finally approved in the meeting.
Preparing the comprehensive productivity plan - a neglected part of the Article 79 of the Fifth Five-Year Economic Development Plan - has been put on NIPO’s agenda since December 2013, the head of the organization, Roya Tabatabai said. “It took IPO six months to prepare this plan and last month it was submitted to the cabinet to be discussed by its economic committee,” she said.
Representatives from the ministry of education, ministry of cooperatives, labor, and social welfare, ministry of agriculture, ministry of defense, ministry of industry, mine and trade, ministry of science, research and technology, ministry of youth affairs and sports, ministry of health and medical education, ministry of foreign affairs, ministry of culture and Islamic guidance, ministry of communications and information technology, ministry of energy, Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, and the department of environment attended the meeting on Wednesday.
The cabinet eventually ratified the plan after some amendments.
