Agriculture Minister to Visit Russia

Iran’s agriculture minister, Mahmoud Hajjati, is heading to Moscow to negotiate the export of agricultural products with his Russian counterpart, said Russia’s ambassador to Iran. Levan Dzhagaryan said his country urgently needs agricultural products such as fruit and chicken, reported IRNA. The issue was also discussed by the two countries’ presidents during their recent meeting in Kazakhstan’s Astrakhan. Russia banned imports of a wide range of US and European food products in response to western sanctions on Moscow over the crisis in Ukraine.
