The Consumer Price Index for rural areas remained unchanged compared with a month earlier at 13.1% in the 12-month period ending on June 21, which marks the end of the third Iranian month, as reported by the Statistical Center of Iran.   The overall index (using 2011 as the base year) stood at 222.4 during the month, indicating 0.8% growth compared with the previous month.  It also recorded a year-on-year increase of 13.7%.  The index for food, beverages and tobacco group reached 244.2 registering 0.1% growth compared with a month earlier. The index for this group increased by 16.2% compared with the same month last year and the annual inflation stood at 9.7%.  Moreover, the CPI for non-edible products and services stood at 207.8, which indicates a 1.4% increase compared to a month before. The group registered an annual point-to-point inflation of 16.3% percent compared to the same month a year before.
