Iranian steelmakers registered significant growth in exports during the first quarter of the current fiscal year (March 21-June 21).
A total of 2.1 million tons of semi-finished steel products were exported during the period to register an 11% increase compared with the same period of the previous year, latest data released by the Iranian Steel Producers Association show.
Billet and bloom had the lion’s share of semis exports with an aggregate of 1.45 million tons, up 10.5% compared with the year before, while slab exports stood at 646,000 tons, up 10.6%.
