Exports from Kermanshah Province stood at 1.82 million tons worth $716.23 million in the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21-June 21), registering a 19% and 10% year-on-year rise in terms of weight and value respectively, according to Ali Asghar Abbaszadeh, a local customs official.
The exports mainly included rebars and ironware, tiles and ceramics, fruit and vegetable, construction stone, dairy products, plastic products and disposable dishes.
Imports to Kermanshah reached 653,000 tons worth $5.68 million during the same period, registering a 78% and 48% fall in weight and value, IRNA reported.
The imports mainly included primary reformers, dairy production machinery, diesel generators, aluminum catalyst and polyethylene vinyl acetate.
Kermanshah in western Iran shares 371 kilometers of borders with Iraq’s central government as well as its autonomous Kurdistan Region. With six official border terminals and markets, the province accounts for almost half of Iran’s annual non-oil exports to Iraq.
Parvizkhan terminal located in Qasr-e Shirin County shares 186 kilometers of borders with the neighboring country. 
Q1 exports from Parvizkhan stood at 655,000 tons worth $257.23 million, registering a 37% and 21% growth in weight and value respectively, according to Qasem Matlabi, a local customs official. 
The exports included fruit and vegetable, dairy products, cakes and cookies, metal and plastic products, stone, tiles, ceramics and construction materials.
Matlabi noted that total foreign trade via Parvizkhan stood at $1.05 billion during the period.
Iraq is one of the main destinations for the export of Iran’s agricultural, food and mineral products.
