New direct flights between Kuwait and Shiraz have been launched by Air Algerie airlines, according to Fakhreddin Keshavarz, director general of Fars Province’s Airports.
An Airbus 330 departs Kuwait International Airport and arrives at Shiraz International Airport on Sundays and Wednesdays at 5:45 p.m. and the return flight will be at 6:20 p.m. on the same day.
Noting that 11 domestic and foreign airlines operate international flights from the Shiraz International Airport, Keshavarz said two other flights on the same route are already being operated by Iran Air on Tuesdays, the news portal of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development reported.
Air Algérie is the flag carrier of Algeria, with its head office in the Immeuble El-Djazair in Algiers. With flights operating from Houari Boumedienne Airport, Air Algérie operates scheduled international services to 39 destinations in 28 countries in Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East, as well as domestic services to 32 airports.
As of December 2013, Air Algérie was 100% owned by the government of Algeria.
Iran Air is the flag carrier of Iran.
