    Tehran Exports Hit $1.4b 

    Non-oil exports from Tehran Province stood at $1.44 billion in the fiscal 2022-23 (ended March 20), registering a 19% rise compared with the year before, according to Mahmoud Sijani, the head of Tehran Industries, Mining and Trade Organization.

    Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan, Germany and Afghanistan were the top export destinations during the year, IRNA reported.

    A total of 537,000 tons of goods worth $11.01 billion were imported to Tehran during the same period, registering a 13% increase in value compared with the year before.

    The UAE, China, Turkey, Germany and Switzerland were the main exporters.

    Tehran accounted for 2.71% of Iran’s total export value and 18.46% of total import value during the period.
