Zimbabwean VP in Iran to Boost Pharmaceutical Ties

Vice President of Zimbabwe Constantino Chiwenga is in the Iranian capital Tehran for bilateral engagements, as the African country continues to look for ways to further strengthen its pharmaceutical industry in line with its national drive.
Invited by the Iranian government, the vice president is scheduled to meet the country’s Vice President Mohammad Mokhber and Health Minister Bahram Eynollahi, as the two nations explore areas of further cooperation.
Early this year, Iran sent a team of 12 medical specialists from various disciplines to Zimbabwe for two weeks for conducting surgeries at the United Bulawayo Hospitals and Mpilo Central Hospital, as well as for sharing new techniques and technologies with their Zimbabwean counterparts.
