A total of 358,000 tons of goods worth $321.69 million were exported from the city of Kashan in Isfahan Province during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Dec. 21, 2022), according to Alimorad Norouzi, a local customs official.
The exports mainly included reinforcement bars, machine-made carpets, rosewater, herbal extract, lime juice, copper wires, construction stone, brake-pads, swamp coolers, glassware, steel and galvanized sheets, tile and ceramic, detergent, dairy products, threads and synthetic fibers, IRNA reported.
Spain, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, China, Canada, Japan, India, Poland, the UK, Brazil, Austria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, Armenia, Romania, Turkey, Tajikistan, Qatar, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Russia, South Africa, Croatia, Oman, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Vietnam, Kenya, Lebanon, Libya, New Zealand, Hungary, Mexico, Venezuela and Greece were the main destinations. 
“Kashan, with 1,500 production firms and 13 industrial parks and zones, is one of Iran’s industrial hubs. The city is also located at the intersection of the International North-South and East-West Transportation Corridor,” the official said.
Norouzi noted that Kashan accounts for 75% of Iran’s machine-made carpet production.
Exports from Kashan stood at 559,053 tons worth $448.53 million during the last Iranian year (March 2021-22), registering a 27% and 60% rise in weight and value respectively compared with the year before.
