More than 260,000 tons of goods worth $230.91 million were exported from Qom Province in the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Nov. 21), registering a 34% rise compared with the similar period of last year, according to a local customs official.
Esfandyar Derikvandi added that exports stood at 39,746 tons worth $39.62 million during the eighth month (ended Nov. 21), IRNA reported.
A total of 44,162 tons worth $220.2 million were imported into the province during the eight-month period, he said.
Essential goods, production raw materials and industrial machinery and equipment were the main imports.
