A total of 8,005 homes were sold in the city of Tehran during the eighth month of the current Iranian year (Oct. 23-Nov. 21), registering a 47.8% rise compared to the previous month and a 9.6% increase compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, the Central Bank of Iran reported on Sunday.
The report also shows the average price of each square meter of a residential property in Tehran stood at 467.04 million rials ($1,291) during the period, registering a 45.9% rise over last year’s same month.
Home prices in the capital city increased by 6.8% compared with 437.24 million rials ($1,209) in the seventh month of the year.
