More than 1.38 million tons of goods worth $545.31 million were exported from Khosravi Border Terminal in Kermanshah Province’s Qasr-e Shirin County during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Nov. 21), registering a 43% and 25% rise in weight and value respectively compared with the similar period of last year, according to the spokesperson of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
Morteza Emadi added that 847,528 tons of goods worth $351.11 million were exported from Qasr-e Shirin’s Sumar terminal, registering a 12% rise in value, IRIB News reported.
The main export commodities from the two border terminals were steel rebar, tile and ceramic, construction stones, pipes and disposable containers.
Qasr-e Shirin in the western Kermanshah Province shares 186 kilometers of borders with Iraq. Parvizkhan is another major border terminal in Qasr-e Shirin.
