Iran’s trade with Belarus stood at 24,331 tons worth $30.86 million during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Oct. 22), according to the spokesperson of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
Exports to Belarus hit 14,143 tons worth $9.07 million during the period, registering a 13.26% decline in terms of weight, but a 204% growth in value.
“Different kinds of dates, vegetable, pistachio and watermelon were the main products exported to Belarus during the period,” Morteza Emadi was also quoted as saying by IRIB News.

“Belarus and Iran intend to bring relations to a qualitatively new level,” Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said during a meeting with Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko last week.
"Our countries have always had good, strong and friendly relations. Not so long ago, we met with the leadership of Belarus and agreed to bring our relations to a new, better level," Raisi was quoted as saying by BelTA.
Golovchenko echoed these thoughts by saying that Belarus and Iran agree with each other on the entire spectrum of the bilateral economic agenda. He thanked the Iranian head of state for the opportunity to meet and for the warm welcome.
“I am visiting Iran to fulfill the instructions of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko who, after meeting with you on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Samarkand, instructed the government of Belarus to take stock of Belarus-Iran cooperation and draft a new comprehensive plan to promote it,” he said.
During Golovchenko’s Iran visit, the Belarusian head of government took part in the Belarus-Iran business forum, visited a number of enterprises, and also participated in negotiations where cooperation agreements were signed.
The chambers of commerce and industry of Belarus and Iran signed a cooperation agreement earlier this month.
According to Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov, the signing of the agreement will give new impetus to the advancement of relations between Belarus and Iran.
“We highly appreciate friendly relations with our colleagues. Today we've discussed a number of important matters concerning various avenues of cooperation. In particular, we touched upon the matter of transport corridors,” he said.
