Exports from Isfahan Province reach 1.51 million tons worth $999.05 million during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Nov. 21), registering an 8% and 15% year-on-year growth in terms of weight and value respectively, according to a local customs official.
A total of 712 types of goods were exported.
“Cast-iron and steel worth $400 million, petrochemical products worth $153 million, dairy products worth $82 million, machine-made and hand-made carpets worth $80 million and iron and cast-iron products worth $60 million were the main commodities exported from Isfahan during the period,” Rasoul Kouhestani, director general of Isfahan Customs Administration, was quoted as saying by IRIB News.
Eighty-nine countries were the destinations of these exports, he added.
Iraq with $404 million, Pakistan with $168 million, Turkey with $106 million, Afghanistan with $62 million and Armenia with $48 million were the main destinations.
