The 13th International Exhibition of Bitumen, Asphalt, Insulation and Related Machinery (BAIEX 2022) opened at Tehran’s International Fairground on Nov. 20, which will run until Nov. 23.
A total of 115 domestic and foreign companies from Turkey, Italy, China and India are showcasing their latest products and services at the event.
The opening ceremony was attended by deputy minister of industries, mining and trade, Mohammad Mehdi Baradaran, IRIB News reported.
According to Mohammad Hesamzadeh, an official with the Industries Ministry, Iran annually produces between 5.5 and 6 million tons of bitumen, and 4.3 million tons were exported in the last Iranian year (March 2021-22).
“Pakistan, Iraq and the UAE, in addition to several African countries, are the main destinations of our exports,” he said.
