Iran’s foreign trade, excluding crude oil exports, reached 68.1 million tons worth $50.28 billion during the first six months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Sept. 22), registering a 13.2% rise in value compared with the corresponding period of last year, new data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Customs Administration show.
Exports (excluding crude oil) stood at 51.78 million tons worth 24.25 billion during the period, registering a 12.5% fall in terms of weight, but a 13.32% rise in value year-on-year.
Liquefied propane, methanol, liquefied butane, liquefied natural gas and film-grade polyethylene were the top five exported products, as they accounted for $2.01 billion, $1.33 billion, $1.16 billion, $977 million and $976 million of the total export value, respectively, IRNA reported.
These five products collectively accounted for 26.5% of the total export value.
