New Duties on Tomato, Onion Exports

The Agriculture Ministry has set new duties on the export of tomatoes and onions.
The measure has been taken to regulate the domestic market and prevent a price increase, Mehr News Agency reported. 
The export of a kilogram of tomatoes will be subjected to 40,000 rials ($0.12) in customs duty from Oct. 23 until Jan. 5, 2023, and that of onions will be levied 20,000 rials ($0.06) per kilogram as of Oct. 23 until Feb. 19, 2023.
