Exports from Mazandaran Province hit $120 million in the first five months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Aug. 22), registering a 22% growth compared with the corresponding period of last year, according to a local official.
“During the period, Mazandaran's non-oil products, including dairy products, vegetables and citrus fruits, knowledge-based products and disposable dishes, have been exported to Iraq, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Romania, Afghanistan and India,” Rahim Bakhshi was also quoted as saying by IRNA.
Bakhshi noted that in the fiscal 2020-21, Mazandaran’s exports stood at $179 million, adding that the figure increased to $278 million in the fiscal 2021-22.
Mazandaran Province is located in northern Iran along the Caspian Sea coastline.
