Monthly Red Meat Output at Over 51.8K Tons

A total of 51,862 tons of red meat were produced in Iran's official slaughterhouses during the month ending July 22 to register a 1% decrease compared to the previous month and a 4% year-on-year decline.
The Statistical Center of Iran's latest report shows beef accounted for 24.210 tons, or 46.7% of the overall meat production, indicating a year-on-year decline of 15%, SCI reported on its website.
A total of 23,499 tons of lamb (up 11% YOY), 3,287 tons of goat meat (down 1% YOY) and 866 tons of meat from other types of livestock were produced during the one-month period, accounting for 45.3%, 6.3% and 1.7% of the total output respectively.
