A total of 14.92 million tons of goods were loaded and unloaded at Imam Khomeini Port in Khuzestan Province in the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21-July 22), according to the director general of the southern province’s Ports and Maritime Organization.
“Loading and unloading of non-oil products stood at 8.78 million tons as those of oil products hit 6.14 million tons,” Behrouz Aqaei was also quoted as saying by the news portal of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
The official added that 82 vessels carried nearly 5.14 million tons of essential goods, including different kinds of grains, edible vegetable oils, agriculture raw material and animal feed, to the southern port during the period.
