Beef Accounts for Lion’s Share of Red Meat 

A total of 624,000 tons of red meat were produced in Iran’s official slaughterhouses in the fiscal 2021-22 (ended March 20).
The Statistical Center of Iran's latest report shows beef accounted for 336,000 tons or 53.8% of the overall production, the center reported on its website.
A total of 238,000 tons of lamb, 38,000 tons of goat meat and 12,000 tons of meat from other types of livestock were produced during the year, accounting for 38.1%, 6.2% and 1.9% of the total output respectively.
