A total of 476.66 million tons of goods worth $213.25 million were exported from Iran to Iraq via Parvizkhan border crossing in Kermanshah’s Qasr-e Shirin County in the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21-June 21), according to a local official.
“Our main exported goods were fruit, vegetable, tiles, ceramics and rebars,” Qasem Matlabi was also quoted as saying by IRNA.
Parvizkhan border crossing is located in Qasr-e Shirin County that shares 186 kilometers of borders with Iraq.
A major portion of the western province’s exports are shipped to Central Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan Region through Parvizkhan and Khosravi border crossings.
Last year (March 2021-22), exports from Parvizkhan border crossing to the neighboring Iraq reached 2.53 million tons worth $1.02 billion.
