Iran’s foreign trade, excluding crude oil exports, reached 36 million tons worth $25.5 billion in the first quarter of the current fiscal year (March 21-June 21), according to Alireza Moqaddesi, the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
Exports hit 27.7 million tons worth 13.07 billion, registering a 21% year-on-year rise.
China with $4.21 billion, Iraq with $1.82 billion, Turkey with $1.74 billion, the UAE with $1.65 billion and India with $424 million were Iran’s top five export destinations during the period.
