A total of 592,821 business permits were issued by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2022), registering a 10.9% decline compared with the previous year, latest figures released by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade show.
About 35,368 permits were issued during the last Iranian year’s 12th month (Feb. 20-March 20), registering a 39.19% decrease month-on-month.
Topping the list of provinces with the highest number of business permits during the year were Tehran with 70,384, Khorasan Razavi with 48,195, Isfahan with 45,682, Mazandaran with 37,967 and Fars with 30,750.
Tehran also topped the list with the highest number of permits during the 12th Iranian month with 3,662 permits. It was followed by Khorasan Razavi with 2,751, Isfahan with 2,719, Mazandaran with 2,320 and Fars with 1,897 permits.
The number of permits in the fiscal 2020-21 stood at 665,607, indicating a 58% growth compared with the previous year.
The number of e-trust permits issued in the year to March 2022 registered a 26.9% increase to reach 40,225. In the 12th month, these permits reached 3,862 to register a 7.4% decrease month-on-month.
In the fiscal 2020-21, the number of these permits increased by a whopping 150.8% to 33,044.
Receiving an e-trust symbol from the Industries Ministry is one of the key factors in developing e-commerce, building trust and confidence for users of electronic services. The symbol is displayed on top of sites that are legally permitted to provide such services.
