Clothing Inflation Near 50 Percent

The average goods and services Consumer Price Index of “clothing and shoes” in the 12 months ending May 21, which marks the end of the second month of the current Iranian year, increased by 49.7% compared with the corresponding period of the year before, latest data released by the Statistical Center of Iran show.
The CPI for the group was reported at 523.3 for the month to May 21, indicating a 3.9% increase over the earlier month. 
This index registered a year-on-year increase of 46.8%.
