Trade between Iran and the Economic Cooperation Organization’s 11 member states reached 1.06 million tons worth $1.01 billion in the current fiscal year’s first month (March 21-April 20), data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.
Turkey was Iran’s main trade partner with 577,988 tons worth $633.38 million. It was followed by Afghanistan with 266,244 tons worth $142.52 million and Pakistan with 249,407 tons worth $109.72 million.
Iran’s exports stood at 1.06 million tons worth $640.24 million during the period.
Turkey with 386,000 tons worth $361.09 million, Afghanistan with 248,344 tons worth $108.44 million and Pakistan with 195,555 tons worth $82.32 million were the top export destinations.
