IranAir to Begin Hajj Flights on June 12

Iran’s flag carrier airline is scheduled to start this year’s Hajj flight operations on June 12 from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Hossein Jahani, an IranAir official, said.
Jahani added that the final outbound flight is scheduled for July 3.
“During the 22-day period, 40,000 hajj pilgrims will travel to Jeddah and Medina airports from Tehran, Tabriz, Kerman, Isfahan, Ahvaz, Bandar Abbas, Mashhad, Shiraz, Ardabil, Bushehr, Hamedan, Birjand, Yazd, Sari, Gorgan, Urmia, Zahedan and Zanjan,” he was quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.  
Millions of Muslims from around the world travel to Saudi Arabian cities of Mecca and Medina, for the Hajj pilgrimage, a central pillar of the Islamic faith.
