Annual Trade With SCO Rises 33 Percent to $37 Billion

Iran’s trade with member states of Shanghai Cooperation Organization stood at 54.86 million tons worth $37.17 billion in the fiscal 2021-22 (ended March 20), registering a 33% growth compared with the previous year, according to Rouhollah Latifi, spokesman of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
Iran’s exports reached 45.35 million tons worth $20.6 billion, registering a 41% year-on-year growth.
China with $14.32 billion (up 58%), Afghanistan with $1.84 billion (down 20%) and India with $1.82 billion (up 42%) were the top export destinations, ILNA reported.
They were followed by Pakistan with $1.26 billion (up 24%), Russia with $579 million (up 15%), Uzbekistan with $402 million (up 146%), Kazakhstan with $187 million (up 11%), Tajikistan with $91.6 million (up 459%), Kyrgyzstan with $79 million (up 72%), Belarus with $17 million (down 19%) and Mongolia with $566,000 (up 37%).
