With 61.9%, Hotels & Restaurants Register Highest Inflation

The average goods and services Consumer Price Index of “hotels and restaurants” in the 12-month period ending April 20, which marks the last day of the current fiscal year’s first month, increased by 61.9% compared with the corresponding period of the year before, latest data released by the Statistical Center of Iran show.
The annualized inflation marks the highest among 12 groups of goods and services surveyed by SCI on a monthly basis.
The CPI of the group stood at 477.3 for the month to April 20, indicating a 4.7% rise compared with the month before — also the highest among the surveyed groups along with “food and beverages” and “miscellaneous items and services”.
