The average goods and services Consumer Price Index of “housing and utilities (water, electricity, natural gas and other fuels)” in the 12-month period ending April 20, which marks the final day of the current fiscal year’s first month, increased by 26.7% compared with the corresponding period of the year before, according to the Statistical Center of Iran.
The CPI of the group stood at 280.7 for the month to April 20, indicating a 2% rise compared with the month before.
The group’s CPI index, which has the biggest impact on the total inflation rate, registered a year-on-year increase of 28%.
