The Iranian National Tax Administration has set the tax exemption ceiling on income for the current fiscal year (March 2022-23) at 672 million rials ($2,400).
A 10% tax will be levied on annual incomes in excess of 672 million rials to 1,800 million rials ($6,428); 15% on incomes in excess of 1,800 million rials to 3,000 million rials ($10,714); 20% on incomes in excess of 3,000 million rials to 4,200 million rials ($15,000) and a 30% tax on incomes in excess of 4,200 million rials and higher.
The limit on tax exemption for artists, including actors, singers and art producers, has been set at 2,600 million rials ($9,285), Mehr News Agency reported.
Notably, INTA eliminated the tax exemptions of publications and institutes engaged in printing materials and coaching for university entrance exams (secondary and higher education).
