Cruise services from Iran’s Khorramshahr Port in the southern Khuzestan Province to Kuwait have resumed after a two-year hiatus, director general of Khorramshahr’s Ports and Maritime Organization announced.
“The services were suspended after the outbreak of Covid-19. We have made arrangements with Kuwaiti officials to launch them again,” Nourollah As’adi was also quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.
Vessels leave Khorramshahr Port on Saturdays and Wednesdays and return from Kuwait on Sundays and Thursdays, he added.
Khorramshahr Port’s Persian Gulf Passenger Terminal is spread across 6,000 square meters, has two wharfs and the capacity to transport 1,200 passengers per day.
All passengers are required to have taken two jabs of vaccines and carry a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure.
