Bushehr-Dubai flights have resumed after three years when a flight was operated on this route on March 5, according to a local official.
The flights are scheduled to run every week on Saturdays and Thursdays by an Airbus 320 with a capacity of 140 passengers, IRNA reported.
The national flag carrier airline IranAir says it is also scheduled to launch direct flights from the southern city of Ahvaz in Khuzestan Province to Dubai within a month.
“Flights will be conducted every week on Fridays and Mondays, using an Airbus A320. The rise in demand for direct flights from Iran’s southern provinces to the littoral states of the Persian Gulf has prompted IranAir to launch the new air route,” Hossein Jahani, director general of the airline’s public relations office, was quoted as saying by Fars News Agency.
Presently, IranAir operates flights from the cities of Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, Lar and Kish Island to Dubai; from Lar to Doha; and from Shiraz, Ahvaz, Lar, Mashhad, Isfahan and Abadan to Kuwait.
