A total of 4.29 million tons of goods worth $1.5 billion have been exported from Sistan-Baluchestan Province in southeast Iran since the beginning of the current fiscal year (March 21, 2021), registering an 11% and 15% year-on-year growth in weight and value respectively, according to a local official, Mohammad Ali Khashi.
The exports mainly included cement, clinker, dates, gas, coriander seeds, raisin, grapes, biscuit and chocolate, tomato, detergent, plums, apples and other agricultural products, IRNA reported.
Pakistan, Afghanistan, Oman, the UAE, India and Russia were the main destinations.
Sistan-Baluchestan is the second largest province from among Iran’s 31 provinces, after Kerman Province. Bordering Pakistan and Afghanistan, its capital is Zahedan.
