New data released by the Iranian Steel Producers Association show the output of semi-finished products stood at 23.21 million tons during the current fiscal year’s first 10 months (March 21, 2021-Jan. 20), which is 8% lower compared with the corresponding period of last year.
Billet and bloom made up 13.75 million tons of total semi-finished production, down 13% year-on-year.
Slab output reached 9.46 million tons to register a 1% YOY decline. 
The output of finished steel declined by 5% YOY to 16.4 million tons. Long steel products had a 9.41 million-ton share in the output of finished steel products, posting a 2% decline compared with the similar period of last year.
