Housing, Utilities Register 26.8% in Annualized Inflation

The average goods and services Consumer Price Index of “housing and utilities (water, electricity, natural gas and other fuels)” in the 12-month period ending Jan. 20 increased by 26.8% compared with the corresponding period of the preceding year.
The CPI of the group stood at 269.8 in the month to Jan. 20, indicating a 3.4% rise compared with the month before. 
The group’s CPI index, which has the biggest impact on the total inflation rate with a coefficient of 35.5%, registered a year-on-year increase of 27.9%.
