Poultry Output Increases

A total of 521,000 tons of poultry meat were produced in Iran’s official slaughterhouses in the third quarter of the current Iranian year (Sept. 23-Dec. 22), indicating a 2.2% rise compared with the second quarter of the current Iranian year (Jun. 22-Sept. 22).
According to the Statistical Center of Iran, chicken accounted for 508,100 tons or 97.5% of the overall production while other types of poultry, such as turkey, quail, ostrich and partridge, amounted to 12,900 tons or 2.5% of the overall poultry output during the period under review.
