Over 42% of Graduates Unemployed

The share of higher education unemployment from the total unemployed population in Iran was 42.3% in the third quarter of the current Iranian year (Sept. 23-Dec. 21), registering a year-on-year increase of 2.1%, according to the Statistical Center of Iran.
The unemployment shares of male and female graduates from the total unemployed population stood at 22.2% and 46.5%, respectively.
The share of higher education unemployment was 46.1% in urban areas and 25.5% in rural areas during the period.
