The Commerce Department of Agriculture Ministry has set export duties on four protein products, namely milk powder, raw milk fat (cream), butter and animal fat, to regulate domestic market prices. 
According to Abbas Askarzadeh, the deputy head of the department, export duties worth 100,000 rials (36 cents) per kilogram of milk powder, 60,000 rials (21 cents) per kilogram of raw milk fat (cream), 150,000 rials (54 cents) per kilogram of butter and 200,000 rials (72 cents) per kilogram of animal fat has been levied as of Jan. 3, 2022. 
“All previous directives regarding the export of milk powder, cream, butter and animal fat dated Feb. 28, 2021, and Dec. 22, 2021, henceforth stand revoked,” he was quoted as saying by IRIB News.
