The Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade's survey of the current Iranian year’s first seven months (March 21-Oct. 22) shows the output of 16 industrial products (out of 27) registered growth compared with the similar period of last year.
A total of 4,957 trucks, mini trucks and vehicle pullers were produced during the period, showing a 64.4% year-on-year rise.
Vegetable oil production stood at 1.19 million tons, up 42.1% YOY.
More than 790,300 washing machines were produced, up 29.9%.
Carbon black production stood at 95,600 tons, showing a YOY increase of 20.4% while that of polyester filament yarn hit 174,400 tons, registering a 14.8% growth YOY.
A total of 394 combine harvesters were manufactured, showing a 13.5% YOY rise.
A total of 1,136 buses, minibuses and vans were manufactured, up by 12.5%.
Leather products amounted to 23.8 million square feet, up 12.3% while particle boards saw an 8.5% increase in production to 510,700 cubic meters.
The output of refrigerators and freezers increased by 1.25 million sets to mark a 7.6% increase.
The production of petrochemicals stood at 36.97 million tons, up 3.9%.
Polyester fibers’ output hit 111,111 tons, registering a 2.1% growth.
The production of different types of paper stood at 581,800 tons, up 1.8% YOY.
Cardboard production stood at 317,900 tons while a total of 507,300 passenger vehicles were manufactured, each showing a 1.4% rise.
Refined industrial and motor oil production hit 388,100 tons, up 1.14%.
The production of shoes and other kinds of footwear hit 74.2 million pairs, showing a 0.1% fall compared with the similar period of last year.
Ten products out of the 27 under study registered a decline during the period.
A total of 1,400 tons of acrylic fibers were produced, down by 46.9%.
Around 13,900 tons of pesticides and insecticides were produced, down 33.7% YOY.
The production of detergent powder reached 325,100 tons, registering a 12.6% fall.
Different types of synthetic fiber production declined by 12% YOY to stand at 136,200 tons.
The production of pick-up trucks reached 41,254, indicating a 11.8% decline, as tractor manufacture reached 9,475, down 3.5% YOY.
Television production stood at 649,900 sets to register a YOY decrease of 11.2%.
A total of 853,500 cubic meters of fibers were produced during the period, down 5.9%, while car tire production hit 147,500 tons, falling by 5.2% YOY.
The output of human medicine stood at 28 billion, down 2% YOY.
Monthly Review
The ministry’s report also shows the output of 10 industrial products (out of 27) saw growth in the seventh month of the current fiscal year (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) compared with the previous month.
The output of weather products hit 6 million square feet, registering a 33.3% growth MOM, while that of shoes and footwear hit 16 million pairs, marking a 23.1% growth.
The production of polyester fibers stood at 17,500 tons, registering an 8.1% growth.
About 105,900 cubic meters of fibers were also produced, up 7.6%.
The carbon black production stood at 15,200 tons, showing a month-on-month increase of 6.9%
Polyester filament yarn’s output hit 26,100 tons, registering a 3.8% growth MOM.
The output of different types of paper stood at 91,400 tons, up 3.2% MOM.
The production of petrochemical hit 5.23 million tons, that of human medicine reached 4.8 billion and car tires stood at 22,000 tons, each showing a 0.5% rise MOM.
Sixteen products out of the 26 witnessed a decline in output during the month under review.
A total of 59 combine harvesters were manufactured, showing a 37.9% MOM decline.
The number of manufactured passenger vehicles reached 66,000, down 28% MOM.
The production of detergent powders hit 43,600 tons, showing a 21.3% decline.
Around 1,200 tons of pesticides and insecticides were produced during the month and the output of refrigerators and freezers stood at 211,700 sets, each down 16.6%.
Vegetable oil’s production stood at 148,900 tons, down 16.3% MOM.
The manufacture of washing machines declined by 15.4% MOM to reach 109,400.
Refined industrial and motor oil production hit 58,600 tons, down 13.4%.
Cardboard production stood at 44,000 tons, down 13.3% MOM.
The number of tractors stood at 1,872, showing a 12.9% decrease, while that of trucks, mini trucks and vehicle pullers hit 800, down 12.1% MOM.
About 221 buses, minibuses and vans were manufactured, down by 9.1%, and the production of pickup trucks stood at 6,744, indicating an 8.9% decrease.
The output of different types of synthetic fiber declined by 7.2% to stand at 18,000 tons.
The production of particle boards saw a 7.1% decline to reach 71,000 cubic meters.
Television production hit 91,500 sets to register a decline of 1.1 MOM%.
Domestic manufacturers did not produce any acrylic fibers during the month.
