A total of 297,312 business permits were issued by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Sept. 22), registering a 3.6% growth compared with the similar period of last year, latest figures released by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade show.
About 69,645 permits were issued during the sixth Iranian month (Aug. 23-Sept. 22), registering a 55.06% growth month-on-month.
Topping the list of provinces with the highest number of business permits during the six months are Tehran with 38,803, Khorasan Razavi with 25,252, Isfahan with 23,314, Mazandaran with 19,280 and East Azarbaijan with 15,316.
Tehran also topped the list with the highest number of permits during the sixth Iranian month with 9,244 permits. It was followed by Khorasan Razavi with 6,318, Isfahan with 5,432, Mazandaran with 4,107 and East Azarbaijan with 3,496 permits.
The number of permits stood at 665,607 in the last Iranian year (March 2020-21), indicating a 58% growth compared with the previous year.
The number of e-trust permits issued in H1 of the current fiscal year registered a 26.8% increase to reach 15,734.
E-trust permits issued in the sixth fiscal month stood at 2,787 to register a 3.5% increase month-on-month.
E-trust permits issued in the last Iranian year saw a whopping 150.8% hike to reach 33,044 licenses.
Receiving an e-trust symbol from the Industries Ministry is one of the key factors in developing e-commerce, building trust and confidence for users of electronic services. An e-trust symbol is displayed as a mark on top of sites that are legally permitted to provide such services.
